Grade 3/4 baseball is the first age-group where coaches remain on the sidelines. Pitchers throw from 46’ and base paths are set at 60’. In a league with teams from Allendale, teams will play a 10-12 game regular season schedule followed by single-elimination playoffs. The season will end with the championship game on the weekend prior to the end of the school year. Teams are formed in late February through a balanced player draft. Every effort is made to ensure that teams are at equal strength prior to the start of the season. Players will be playing in a minimum of two games per week, including every Saturday. Practices are often scheduled as well at the option of the coaches.
Players are furnished with a uniform consisting of a hat, jersey and socks. Players provide their own pants and may wear plastic cleats or sneakers; metal spikes are not allowed.
